About the Photographer

As a child, my Dad always had a camera in his hand or within reach. He liked to document all the memories of the day, whether big or small. He would sometimes drive me crazy, always taking pictures when I least expected it. I was a shy subject, and didn’t want to be in front of the camera. But I did want to know what was inside that thing that hung from my Dad’s neck on that wide strap. When he would sneak up on me and point that camera at me, it was as if I wasn’t posing, but looking into the front of that lens to see what I could find.

It wasn’t until I started shooting pictures myself, did I fully
appreciate what he could see from behind the lens. I decided that
behind the lens was a much better place for me to be!

I absolutely love the opportunity I have to be a photographer! I now understand when I love my job as much as I do, it doesn’t feel like a job, but an adventure. A chance to develop life long relationships, photographing my clients from senior pictures ... to an engagement ... a wedding ... a baby ... a family portrait.

What I see and photograph is life in the fullest, whether quiet or bold, seeing all the romance, hopes, the one from within breaking through, and then fashioning all of these into a storybook of wonderful memories.
